Carole Park SS Books in Homes (2)

reading-seussBig shout-out to Books in Homes Australia for putting more than two million books into some of Australia’s most disadvantaged homes.

I helped hand out nearly 600 books to Carole Park State School students this morning thanks to the generosity of program sponsor Mainfreight Australia.

Company representative Josh Meads remembers being on the receiving end of Books in Homes when he was a kid and is now  passing their bookpacks on to a new generation.

Love your work, guys! For more information, click here.

Wow I just picked up your book Henry Hoey Hobsen for the first time. you came to my school today for the Literature Day and your story was very inspirational. I feel like your books will be one of the first novels I read and actually finish seems. I never really finish novels because I never have time but i’m hoping ill have time to read your books.

yes well, unfortunately we are only aloud to do it every 2 years so even if you do come back I will be unable to attend your workshop. I will have to try and convince them to let year 9’s do it. 🙂

I don’t know how you do it. your whole book sounds as though “Henry” is writing it. Tell me your secrets 🙂 😉
